Luxury Living at Walt Disney World Resort: The Cinderella House

June 22, 2017

For most of us, Walt Disney World is a place to experience a vacation full of enchanted rides, pineapple dole-whip floats, and a never-ending playlist of feel good music. But for a select few, Walt Disney World is more than just a place to vacation - it's a place to call home.

Located in Orlando, Florida, Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Resort offers first-ever whole ownership of single-family homes at Walt Disney World. Homes start at $2 million and offer a wide variety of amenities, including access to the Four Seasons Orlando 5-acre water park, complete with a lazy river and two slides, as well as access to basketball and sand volleyball courts, a tennis facility, and a full Tranquillo Golf Club Membership.

The design of the homes marry the timeless beauty of Old World and Old Florida architecture with contemporary finishes. Each home can be customized and residents have the option of decorating their homes with "hidden mickey's" or other Disney themed features. The Cinderella House at Golden Oak is perhaps one of the most magical in the resort. From the pumpkin carriage balcony detail to the princess themed wall murals - this home will leave you feeling the Disney magic. Check out the tour below and let us know what you think. Would you live at Disney World?

Get the Look: Sophisticated and Romantic Master Retreat

June 1, 2017
See how to recreate this sophisticated and romantic sanctuary with the products listed below.

This romantic and sophisticated master retreat has all the comfortable and cozy feels without sacrificing clean lines and simple sophistication. To see how you can recreate this look in your own home, check out the products we've listed below along with a few tips to help you get started.

Accent wall:
Adding a textured accent wall is a great way to add character to a room and it can be done with little effort thanks to a product called Vant Panels. Vant panels are easy to assemble and can be installed in as little as five minutes. Choose your preferred size, shape, and color, and style them to meet your own unique taste. To see a full list of color / finish options, click here

Shag Rug:

Canopy Bed:
The unique charm of the bed pictured stems from the height of the beaded curtains. While it is an option to recreate this look using a canopy bed, an alternative choice is to mount rods from the ceiling above your bed. Using this approach will create the illusion of a bigger space. Rest assured it's not as intimidating as it sounds and all of the supplies needed can be found at your local hardware store. To see how to complete this project, click here.

Pro Tip: For a clean look, paint the rods to match the color of the ceiling.

Fringed Drapes:
Though the fringed drapes pictured above are custom made, there are a number of different options you can consider without having to go completely custom. Websites like Etsy sell a wide variety of fringed drapes and the length of the drapes as well as the design of the beads can be customized to your preference.  See our top pick here.

Pro Tip: To make a room appear taller, let the drapes hang straight from ceiling-to-floor and avoid bunching them.

An alternative option is to use sheer drapes with a neutral pinstripe. The pinstripe will create a similar affect as the fringed curtains by adding clean lines and height to the room.
